Linhope Spout is probably one of the most visited waterfalls in the North East, and certainly in the Cheviots. And it’s easy to see why – it’s a relatively straight forward walk to the falls, resulting in a very picturesque setting.
The waterfall is almost slide-like, plunging into a deep pool (crazier folk than me like to jump into the pool…). A cascading burn and lovely flat grassy area near the base makes for a great picnic spot. As pretty as it is though, it’s not very photogenic…
