Nestled between Dalmellington and Loch Doon, in the Galloway Forest, sits the small but perfectly formed waterfall that is Dalcairney Falls.
It was a strange day when I visited the falls – the weather was quickly cycling through all four seasons. This photo was taken during a break in the rain and snow.
I’ll definitely return when the burn is in full flow as I expect this will be an impressive waterfall when in spate.
